Favorite designers: Vince, ALC, Rag & Bone, Alexander Wang, 360 Sweater, Frame Denim, Banjo & Matilda, Collette Dinnigan and Theory.
Summer trends she loves: I’m looking forward to printed maxi dresses, flat sandals, distressed denim, loose knits and aviator sunnies.
Style icons: Olivia Palermo always looks so polished mixing unexpected prints and textures. Emmanuelle Alt is another favorite of mine because she’s always chic, simple and undeniably French. On the other hand, I’m also enamored with Danielle Bernstein’s style. She’s the blogging mastermind behind We Wore What, and she isn’t afraid of taking risks.
Personal style: It depends on my mood, what season it is, where I’m going and what I’m doing when I get there. I love prints; I love anything menswear inspired. I have an obsession with stripes, and occasionally I’ll go for a more feminine approach. Also, my lifestyle is much more casual now than it was five years ago. I’m going back to my Australian roots and I’m keeping it simple this season.
Go-to casual outfit for a Saturday: This season, I’m going to my favorite pair of distressed boyfriend-cut jeans by Rag & Bone, a breezy T by Vince (most likely striped) and a pair of white Chucks. I’ll finish the look off with a cross-body bag, my Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses, a dainty gold necklace, and my navy-blue Hermes Clic Clac bracelet.
Go-to casual outfit for a Saturday night out: I just bought this amazing black box-pleat dress by Alexander Wang, and I can’t wait to wear it. All it needs is a black single-strap heel, simple jewelry on the wrist and a killer red lipstick.
Favorite thing in her closet: My new pair of black Coclico wedges. They’re the perfect mix of style and comfort.
Favorite thing in her closet: My [late] sister’s gold nameplate necklace. It’s small but pretty. I wear it to keep her close to my heart. Eventually, I’ll give it to her daughter when she’s old enough to understand how special it is.
Favorite splurge: Jeans. Ugh, I have far, far too many of them. My favorite denim comes from AG and Frame. AG has it down when it comes to vintage washes and cool colors. Frame is going back to basics and focusing on the perfect fit. Both companies produce their denim in Los Angeles—the denim capital of the world—so you know you’re getting great quality for the price.
