Anthropologie’s Social Media Director Talks Fashion Inspiration

Stephanie Campbell, the director of social media at Anthropologie, shares her favorite stores and top style tips.

Her Style: Always evolving as I experiment with trends. An eye-catching staple, a new pant fit or a bold color—I’m eager to try anything new. Once I find a keeper, I wear it nonstop until it becomes a classic in my closet.

Her Fashion Roots: I began modeling in high school and find the fashion industry incredibly exciting. I started writing trend articles for College Fashionista and launched my own fashion-focused blog. I eventually combined my experience in front of—and behind—the camera to launch my career in marketing.

What Inspires Her: I love how quickly fashion changes and inspires daily creativity. Like social media, there’s never a dull moment and there’s always something new on the horizon. I find it exciting that, even with a tired piece in my closet, I can mix and match it with something new to bring it back into the spotlight.

Indispensable Wardrobe Item: Wide-leg or mom jeans—anything that sits higher on the waist and is loose-fitting. I’m 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and finding the perfect fit can be difficult. I love Pilcro by Anthropologie and MOTHER Denim.

Favorite Places to Shop: Anthropologie, Kindred Collective, Stile by Per Lei, Kirna Zabête, Rowen, Rachelle Boutique and Designer Consignment, and Petunia’s Consignment Boutique.

Fashion Icon: I love finding new content creators for inspiration. Still, I keep a spot in my heart for Audrey Hepburn. Though she was known for her tailored pieces, she wasn’t afraid to wear bold colors. Fashion stylist Erin Walsh captures this beautifully with her clientele.

Best Fashion Finds: The stompy black-and-white platform sneakers I purchased in Greece from a small designer. My heritage is half Greek, and bringing back a stylish souvenir I can work into my everyday look meant so much to me.

Indispensable Accessory: My husband gifted his grandmother’s ring to me on the night before our wedding. It was my “something blue,” and I wear it every day.

Makeup Tip: Invest in a good eyelash curler.

Favorite Fragrance: Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle. I’ve also been loving Not a Perfume by Juliette Has a Gun.

Fashion No-No: Keeping something in your closet that you don’t feel confident and comfortable in. Whether it’s an item that no longer fits or simply doesn’t suit your taste, holding onto clothing that doesn’t make you feel good can weigh you down and make it harder to create outfits you love.
