Pick your own as early as 8 a.m., then enjoy a day packed with fun activities for families and kids, including story time and a Hula-Hoop contest. Any self-respecting fan of cry-in-your-beer C&W will want to represent at this free daylong event, held at one of Philly’s most esteemed watering holes. Hosted by Kutztown’s Wallace Brothers Band (pictured), the hardcore jamboree features more than 25 acts, including John Francis, Hannah Taylor, Hurricane Hoss, No Good Sister, John Train and Hezekiah Jones. Creating Camelot: The Kennedy Photography of Jacques Lowe

As someone who only recently experienced the sobering revelations of the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, this celebration of John F. Kennedy’s life—rather than his horrific and controversial death—has a particular resonance. Lowe was JFK’s personal photographer from 1958 through his early White House years. A touch-screen monitor allows you to view more than 24 of Lowe’s original contact sheets, which include the marks to show which images he selected for publication in newspapers and magazines.
