It took this likable Scottish rock outfit more than a decade, but Travis has finally delivered a worthy follow-up to its lush, low-key 2001 masterpiece, The Invisible Band. It comes in the form of the group’s seventh album in 14 years, the sublimely tuneful Where You Stand, released last month. And while the foursome has filled stadiums and sold millions overseas, they’ve had a lukewarm relationship with U.S. fans— surprising when you consider their well-earned reputation as a dynamic live act.
