The fun-loving co-owners of Conshohocken’s Southern Cross Kitchen, Kim Strengari and Marianne Gere, will soon make mid-weeks much more enticing. As of Wed., Jan. 22, the duo’s Wacky Wednesdays series will debut, featuring a weekly three-course food and drink pairing up for grabs for just $25.
The premiere tasting will spotlight a Night in Napa Valley, with the menu to include the following:
â— Shrimp hush puppies with avocado dipping sauce, paired with Franciscan Chardonnay
â— Southern country ham and cheddar biscuits with grain mustard and caramelized apple, paired with Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir
â— Mac n’ cheese ‘spoons’ accented with braised short rib, Parmesan, Asiago, and cheddar cheeses, paired with Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon
Wacky Wednesdays roll out each week from 6–8 p.m., with upcoming installments including the themes of National Pancake Day (slated for Feb. 5; breakfast for dinner small plates) and a Main Line Mixer/Singles event (unfolds Feb. 12).
Guests who jump-start their mid-week nights with Wacky Wednesday and then stay for dinner will receive 10% off of their dinner check.
