Austin-based Snap Kitchen recently announced it will make its Main Line debut with two new locations in the area. The chef-driven, healthy to-go meal maker has planned for seven outposts in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs.

Snap Kitchen offers a menu with a selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals designed by a classically trained chef. The meals are scratch-made daily and chilled to preserve freshness and flavor. With more than 40 options ranging from bison quinoa hash to grass-fed lamb lasagna to crispy Scottish salmon to eggs, Snap offers something for just about everyone. Menu items will be made in Snap Kitchen’s 8,500-square-foot commissary in Fishtown

The portioned meals are made with non-processed ingredients and are ideal for lifestyles that include Paleo, gluten-free, vegan and carb counting diets. Snap Kitchen meals are approved by their chief dietitian and pack a nutritional punch, without losing flavor.

“The choice to make Philadelphia our first East Coast market was incredibly easy. An energized, cosmopolitan city with a long history of great food and great chefs, Philadelphia is the perfect place to launch the simple idea of great food that’s great for you,” says Snap Kitchen founder Martin Berson. “Philadelphians are smart, savvy and on-the-go, and they represent the perfect market for our kind of meals.”

The first local location will open in Malvern in mid-February at 5 Morehall Road (at Lancaster Avenue). Expect the second location in Villanova to open later in the year.
