Favorite designers: (Hallie) I love the way J Brand jeans has taken something as simple as denim and turned it into a fashion statement. Their jeans look good on everyone, and you can make an outfit just by choosing a cool pair with some embellishment. I’m also into the edgy, feminine style of A.L.C. Andrea Lieberman knows how to dress a woman’s body, and her flirty skirts and dresses got me through my pregnancy last year.
Summer trends they love: We love white. It’s so clean and really makes your tan pop. Flowy mini-dresses paired with denim vests and little booties also make a bold statement. It’s important to stay true to your style and not just change everything because it’s warm outside.
Style icon: (Samantha) Kate Bosworth is really cool. She makes every event into a fashion statement.
Personal style: (Hallie) Casual with an edge. There isn’t an outfit that can’t be topped with a moto jacket. From a cocktail dress to a pair of Sundry sweatpants, I’m happy to cover up a little in my leather jacket and beanie.
Favorite splurge: Leather—that’s an easy one. We both love leather pants and jackets (to be worn separately,
so we don’t look too much like biker chicks). There’s nothing like a pair of pull-up leather leggings from Helmut Lang or Veda.
Go-to casual outfit for a Saturday out: We both love jeans, so we’d have to say ripped denim, topped with a comfortable tank.
Go-to casual outfit for a Saturday night in the city: A Helmut Lang jersey skirt is a must-have for nights out this summer. Pair it with a cropped, sleeveless top or a thin, clingy sweater, and you’re ready to go. Gladiator sandals finish off the outfit and allow you to stay out later because your feet won’t be hurting after dinner.
