Everybody out of the water—it’s Shark Week at Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House! Head to Doc’s from August 10–17 and sink your teeth into a full menu of irresistible shark-inspired specials.
An annual event at Doc’s for the past four years, Shark Week gives employees and diners alike a chance to get in on the fun of this trendy, seafood-based summer tradition. Look for The Discovery Channel’s Shark Week programming on Doc’s TVs, and test your smarts with Shark Trivia contests on Doc’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
This year’s Shark Week menu is focused on sunshine-y, citrusy flavors, with the Shark Bite appetizer accompanied by spicy lime/ginger/soy and sweet orange sesame dipping sauces and the blackened mako shark entree featuring a bright, light citrus salsa. What’s new this year? Tacos! Executive chef Daniel Frew, who created the Shark Week specials, was quick to point out the grilled mako shark taco, served in a lettuce leaf and topped with mango salsa, sliced red onion and a honey chipotle drizzle.
Let’s not forget the fishbowl. Think you can handle the Sharknado, with Svedka Citron vodka, tequila, peach schnapps, Sour Apple Pucker, Blue Curacao, strawberry and Sprite? (You’ll just have to head to Doc’s to find out.) For those who prefer a more tame experience, Doc’s suggests a Dogfish Head or Flying Fish draft, a glass of Fish House Sauvignon Blanc or the signature Sea Barrel Sangria cocktail.
These specials last one week only, and Shark Week comes around just once a year, so make your reservations today.
