Ring in the Holidays With West Chester Public Library’s Holiday Home Tour

PLUS: Willow’s Jennifer Fuller shares her holiday gift picks for discerning tastes.

Holiday Double-Bill

Plan for a full day on Dec. 7, when the West Chester Public Library hosts its Holiday Home Tour, and the Chadds Ford Historical Society follows suit with its 28th annual Candlelight Christmas Tour. Held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the library’s spirited walking tour will highlight 10 homes in the borough, several of them situated around historic Everhart Park. Then hop in your car and set out on the 15-home Candlelight Christmas Tour in Unionville and Marlborough Village. Visit wcpubliclibrary.org and chaddsfordhistory.org.

Party Favors

At a loss over what to bring the host of your favorite holiday soirée? Willow’s Jennifer Fuller can help. For those looking to spend under $100, the owner of the Haverford Square home accessories boutique suggests a LAFCO scented, soy-based candle ($55) or The Big Book of Chic ($75), a lavish coffee-table book filled with images of designer Miles Redd’s unique interiors. Spend a little more, and get two classic lacquer boxes by Pacific Connections ($95-$145), or a cozy Nixon throw ($295) from Jonathan Adler. 385 W. Lancaster Ave., Haverford, (610) 642-6555, willowhaverford.com.
