One-Two Punch
Two Philly heavy-hitters have their sights set on Ardmore for an American grill concept arriving sometime in the near future. Details are sketchy, but the men behind the eatery are Michael Schulson (Sampan, Izakaya) and Rob Wasserman (Rouge, 500 Degrees).
New in Town
Bryn Mawr’s first-ever organic, bake-at-home pizza joint, Bake 425 offers fresh and healthy alternatives to greasy pies. Gluten-free and whole-wheat varieties are also available.
Former Meredith’s chef Maurice deRamus has opened La Petit Maison, a new BYO in Berwyn that serves traditional French dishes, along with bistro-style favorites—fondue, anyone?
Also worth checking out: Dos Gringos Mexican Kitchen in downtown Media, created by two local guys with backgrounds in the restaurant biz. They’re serving breakfast, lunch and dinner—and it’s a BYOT, so bring your favorite bottle of tequila for margaritas.
