Refreshing Summer Drink: Sparkling Water from Ayala's Herbal Water in Wynnewood

Quench your thirst with Ayala’s new herbal water, available at Whole Foods and FoodSource.

With spring giving way to summer, we’re all craving drinks that are refreshing, light and full of flavor. So the timing couldn’t be more perfect for Wynnewood-based Ayala’s Herbal Water, with its new line of sparkling H20. Available in ginger lemon peel, lemongrass mint vanilla, and cinnamon orange peel, Ayala’s new varieties offer just the right amount of herbs and spices to make the water interesting but never overpowering. And like their non-carbonated counterparts, they have zero calories and are free of artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors and preservatives.

For a decidedly more adult beverage, add 1 ounce of Ayala’s sparkling ginger lemon peel to 3 ounces of white wine to create a fizzy wine spritzer. Or, for a revved-up mojito, combine 1¼ ounces of rum, 2 ounces of sparkling lemongrass mint vanilla water, ½ ounce of lime juice, a teaspoon of sugar and muddled mint leaves, then shake and pour over ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
