» Much ado about vindaloo: By the time you read this, Wynnewood residents will be among the first to sample the goods at Tiffin Store (50 E. Wynnewood Road, 610-642-3344, tiffinstore.com). It’s an offshoot of Tiffin.com, the Web-based purveyor of health-minded heat-and-eat Indian fare. Since adding a 30-seat dining room at its Northern Liberties location, Tiffin has garnered even more attention than usual from Philly-based foodies. Now that the owners understand customers want both the convenience of delivery and a place to dine-in, they’re bringing their concept to the heart of the Main Line, where college students should appreciate the low prices. A Bryn Mawr Tiffin Store (847 Lancaster Ave.) is set to open by the end of May. Meanwhile, another Indian eatery, Ekta (1003 Lancaster Ave.), has already taken up residence nearby in the space formerly occupied by Café Fresko. A carbon copy of the original cultish Fishtown BYO, Ekta was founded by former Tiffin employees.
» Spring has sprung: Especially at 175 King of Prussia Road in Radnor, where Floret, Scott Morrison and Dan Kremin’s new upscale bistro-meets-lounge is beginning to blossom. I’ll be checking it out soon, so stay tuned.
