>> GO LOCAL: Kimberton Whole Foods is now open for business on East King Street in Malvern. The 5,000-square-foot organic grocery store specializes in local goods sourced within a 100-mile radius. It features an in-store deli and a made-to-order café and coffee bar.

>> FRESH SUDS: Montgomery County’s Stable 12 Brewing Company is eyeing an early- 2015 opening on Bridge Street in downtown Phoenixville. Expect seven flagship beers and an ever-changing roster of limited releases.

>> NEW ’CUE: Winnie and Bob Clowry, owners of Winnie’s LeBus Manayunk on Main Street, have expanded next door with Smokin’ John’s Barbeque. Chef John O’Brien offers brisket, ribs, pulled pork and rotisserie chicken, plus classic sides. The full bar focuses mainly on craft beers and high-end whiskeys.
