» Books on his nightstand: Embracing the Wide Sky by Daniel Tammet. It’s an exploration of how the mind works as told through the lens of a gifted savant.
» CD on repeat: Jay-Z, rain meditation sounds, the lines for my next show.
» Restaurant of the hour: Gullifty’s in Rosemont. My wife and I go for date night. Great selection of beers, and I love the Chilean sea bass.
» Personal heroes: My mother, because she raised three of us as a single mom for more than a few years; my boys, because they teach me patience and bring me some of my biggest laughs; and my wife, because she is a force of nature.
» One thing he knows for sure: Nothing worthwhile is ever easy.

» Very own vici: Other than my family, being nominated as a Lunt-Fontanne Fellow last year. It’s a program that chooses nine regional actors across America each year and provides them with a weeklong mentorship program at the Ten Chimneys Estate, the former home of Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.
» Zen destination: Watching Netflix episodes of Bear Grylls: Man vs. Wild with my 4-year-old.
» If he had an extra hour each day, he would: Probably find more work to do.
» Life view: chance or fate? Chance.
» Pet peeve: Passive-aggressiveness.
» Most marked characteristic: A high forehead and a good work ethic.
» Quality he admires most in others: Self-composure.
» Mantra: Shut up and do it.
