Owner, Jay Michael Salon & Spa

» Coolest thing about his job: The people.

» Last thing he read: Keith Richards’ Life. You get a different impression about what he’s really like. He’s actually kind of a normal guy.

» Role models: Vidal Sassoon or Frédéric Fekkai. They were pioneers in my business and created brands, which is a really difficult thing to do.

» Perfect vacation: I’m not the lay-on-the-beach guy, so Paris or London.

» What he likes most about himself: My optimism in life and in business. I’m blessed with a kind of personality where it’s hard to get me down.

» Pet peeve: Negative people.
