Q&A: Blogger Iesha Vincent

This Pottstown fashionista shares her love for beauty and motherhood on LivingLesh.

PERSONAL STYLE: Classic and comfortable. I’m spunky, outgoing and vibrant, so it’s encompassing my personality.

WHY SHE STARTED HER BLOG: When I first got the idea, I didn’t feel like there were a lot of people on my social channels that represented or looked like me. I wanted people to have someone who styled for petite sizes and was an African-American girl of color.

ON EMPOWERment: I use my platform to empower women in the African-American community and to empower mothers who don’t want to feel guilty for working. We’re all one people, so let’s share our love for fashion and beauty and living the best life we can.

REDEFINING LUXURY: To me, luxury means you’re at ease, you’re comfortable, you’re having a great time and this is exactly where you want to be. That doesn’t have to come with a certain brand.

HER FAVORITE STORES: I love shopping at Revolve, Nordstrom and URBN brands like Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and Free People. For comfortable, chic and everyday fashion, American Eagle and Forever 21.

FALL TRENDS SHE’S LOOKING FORWARD TO: Off-the-shoulder sweaters, knee-high or thigh-high boots, and dresses belted at the waistline.

HER SPLURGES: My black Gucci belt. It goes with so many looks.

GO-TO EVERYDAY LOOK: A good pair of dark-wash distressed jeans with a pair of knee-high boots and a top that’s plain but speaks for itself—like a graphic T-shirt with a cardigan or moto jacket.

GO-TO LOOK FOR A NIGHT OUT:
A pair of thigh-high black boots and a long-sleeve form-fitting black mini dress.
