Fringe Festival

See over 200 artists, installations and performances throughout Philadelphia during the three-week long Fringe Fest.

Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance  

Sept. 6-8, Malvern

First-class antique and rare cars, horses and hounds are among the highlights of the Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance, which also includes a barbecue and black tie gala.

Haverford Music Festival

Sept. 7, Haverford

The Haverford Music Festival returns for its ninth year, bringing with it over 30 performers on four stages, including Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams.

Phoenixville Blues Festival

Mushroom Festival

Sept. 7-8, Kennett Square

The Mushroom Capital of the World celebrates everyone’s favorite fungi with the annual Mushroom Festival, which is complete with a parade and carnival.

Candace Bushnell at the Saturday Club

Sept. 12, Wayne

Over 20 years after her book of essays was published and years after the iconic HBO series came to an end, author Candace Bushnell recently released Is There Still Sex in the City? (Grove Press, 272 pages). Bushnell will discuss her latest release at the Saturday Club and give a glimpse into how it came to be.

Devon Fall Classic

Sept. 12-15, Devon

See world class equestrian eventing at the Devon Fall Classic. The four-day event features children’s, junior’s and professional equestrians, plus many of the vendors so popular at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair.

Cinema in the Cemetery

Sept. 13, Philadelphia

Historic Laurel Hill Cemetery and the Philadelphia Film Society are teaming up for a Cinespia-inspired evening on, fittingly, Friday the 13th. This iteration of Cinema in the Cemetery will feature a screening of 80s cult classic, Gremlins.

Archaeology Festival at Newlin Grist Mill

Sept. 14, Glen Mills

Historic Newlin Grist Mill’s Archaeology Festival gives visitors a hands-on experience and glimpse into the past.

South Wayne PorchFest

Sept. 14, Wayne

Now in its third year, South Wayne’s PorchFest features a range of musicians performing around town, including Rick’s Office Band, Barry Brothers and more.

Chadds Ford Days

Sept. 14-15, Chadds Ford

Celebrate the region’s history, dating back to the Revolutionary War, at Chadds Ford Days. The two-day event features reenactments, craft vendors, kids activities and more.

Radnor Fall Festival

Sept. 15, Wayne

Now in its 27th year, the Radnor Fall Festival celebrates the township with a day of family fun, including live music, food, moon bounces and a dog contest, all taking over North Wayne Avenue.

Bryn Mawr Night

Sept. 18, Bryn Mawr

Shop, dine and stroll Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr. Fourteen restaurants will offer specials, including international cuisine, and a number of participating restaurants will also sample the Bryn Mawrtini.

Plantation Field International

Sept. 19-22, Unionville

Plantation Field International returns to Unionville, bringing with it world-class equestrians and family fun. This year’s events also include a fun run and an antique car show.

Pints in the Square

Sept. 21, Newtown Square

Now in its fourth year, Pints in the Square includes a 5k run/walk through Newtown Square followed by a well-deserved beer festival.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Sept. 21-28, Bryn Athyn

On select dates this September, the Bryn Athyn Community Theater will perform one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies. 

Delco Arts Week

Sept. 21-28, Various locations

This inaugural weeklong event features gallery exhibitions, art loops, studio tours, plein air painters, live music and dance, plus workshops at over 25 different venues throughout Delaware County.

Philly Music Fest

Sept. 25-28, Philadelphia

Featuring only local bands, Philly Music Fest will rove the city, setting up at three different venues over four days. The festivities kick off at Milkboy, continue at Johnny Brenda’s, and wrap up at World Café Live. Headliners include Ceramic Animal, Man Man, Speedy Ortiz and Vacationer.

Chester County Restaurant Festival

Sept. 26, West Chester

Now in its 39th year, the Chester County Restaurant Festival takes over Gay Street once more. Over 65 restaurants, plus 110 vendors, will gather in West Chester to celebrate the region’s culinary prowess. There will also be live music and a beer and wine garden

Main Line Wine Gala

Sept. 26, Gladwyne

Sip and celebrate some of the world’s most innovative winemakers at the Main Line Wine Gala. Held at Philadelphia Country Club, the event benefits various Resources for Human Development initiatives.

Penn Medicine Charity Golf Classic

Sept. 26, Wayne

Kennett Brewfest

Sept. 28, Kennett Square

Celebrate Oktoberfest Kennett Square style with this annual event in which over 100 breweries will converge on the borough. In addition to rare and seasonal suds, there will also be food, live music and vendors.

Paoli Blues Fest and Street Fair

Sept. 28, Paoli

Jam to live tunes as the Paoli Blues Fest and Street Fair takes over the town. This year’s festival features six bands, including Little Buddy and The Fraction.
