Manayunk Cocktail Week

Through Nov. 3, Manayunk

For one week, restaurants throughout this hip neighborhood will highlight cocktail specials, dinner pairings, tasting menus and more. Participants include Bourbon Blue, the Goat’s Beard, Lucky’s Last Chance, Taqueria Feliz, Winnie’s and more.

Phoenixville Harvest Festival

Through Nov. 3, Phoenixville

To celebrate the season, the borough of Phoenixville is hosting a four-day harvest-centric extravaganza, kicking off on Halloween. Festivities include a night market at the Point PhoenixvilleRiverworks Apartments (Nov. 1), a harvest breakfast at Bluebird Distilling (Nov. 2), a softball tournament (Nov. 2) and a pet parade around Reeves Park (Nov. 3).

Blooms and Bamboo

Longwood Gardens’ annual Chrysanthemum Festival gets an update this year. Celebrating the Japanese art of flower arrangement, Blooms and Bamboo takes over the four-acre conservatory and features specially trained flowers, plus the Thousand Bloom Chrysanthemum.

Highland Orchards’ Craft Beer Fest

Nov. 2, West Chester

This West Chester favorite is teaming up with Maggie Moo’s for a fun fall festival that includes plenty of beer and ice cream.

Main Line Health Art Exhibition

Nov. 2 – Jan. 26, 2020, Bryn Mawr

Now in its 24th year, Main Line Health’s annual art exhibition and sale features work from Art Ability artists—who have cognitive, hearing, physical or visual impairments—in a variety of mediums on display at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital.

Fall Food Truck Thrown Down

Nov. 2-3, Chadds Ford

Chaddsford Winery brings together nearly a dozen food trucks—including Dos Gringos, Mama Mia and the Polish Connection—for pay-as-you-go dining. Even better, diners get to vote for their favorite food truck. There will also be live music and plenty of wine at this two-day event.

Pennsylvania Hunt Cup

Nov. 3, Unionville

The 85th running of the Pennsylvania Hunt Cup includes a four-mile timber steeplechase race traversing 22 fences, one of the longest of its kind sanctioned by the National Steeplechase Association.

Autumn Highlights Tour at Scott Arboretum

Nov. 6, Swarthmore

Explore the beautiful grounds of the Scott Arboretum in their autumnal glory and learn how to create a smaller scale garden with just as much color and foliage.

Contemporary Craft Show

Nov. 8-10, Philadelphia

Hosted by the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the 43rd Annual Contemporary Craft Show features 195 artists and 26 guest artists from Israel. A preview party will be held on Nov. 7.

Sugarloaf Craft Festival

Nov. 8-10, Oaks

The Sugarloaf Craft Festival returns to Oaks, bringing with it hundreds of arts and crafts dealers.

High-Tech Pumpkin Hunt at Tyler Arboretum

Nov. 9, Media

Halloween may be over, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to put away the pumpkins. Tyler Arboretum will scatter these gourds throughout its grounds. Visitors will use GPS, riddles and code-cracking skills to locate them.

The Marriage of Figaro

Philadelphia-based Academy of Vocal Arts Opera Orchestra will perform its latest opera, Le nozze di Figaro, at the Academy on select dates from Nov. 12-19 and at the Haverford School on Nov. 21.

Elf: The Musical

Get in the holiday spirit with a live rendition of this Christmas favorite, which follows Buddy, an orphan brought up among Santa’s elves.

Unionville Art Gala

Benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Breath of Life Gala features a sit-down dinner, live and silent auctions and more at the Crystal Tea Room.

Hope Gala

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Devereux’s Hope Gala will take place at the National Constitution Center.

Mean Girls

Tina Fey’s cult classic film, Mean Girls, made its Broadway debut to much acclaim in October 2017. Two years later, the hit sensation is touring the country and makes a two-week stop at the Academy of Music. So fetch.

Mistletoe & Magic

Nov. 23, Malvern

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Mistletoe & Magic is Paoli Hospital Auxiliary’s signature event. This year’s festivities will take place at White Manor Country Club and will be themed “silver stars.” The gala benefits the Women’s Emotional Wellness Center, which will debut in King of Prussia next year.

Philadelphia Marathon

Nov. 24, Philadelphia

Thousands of runners will take to the streets of the City of Brotherly Love for the Philadelphia Marathon, which benefits the American Association for Cancer Research.

Thanksgiving Day Parade

Nov. 28, Philadelphia

The oldest parade of its kind in the U.S., marching bands and floats will traverse a 1.4-mile route through the city on Thanksgiving. Watch it up close or stay cozy inside and catch it on 6ABC.
