To Market
It appears something good has come out of the closing of Berwyn mainstay Yang’s Market. Meridith Coyle, owner of Aneu Bistro and Wine Bar next door, purchased the space for her Fresh Ideas Market (Yang’s owner Yong Yang is still involved). Coyle offers farm-fresh produce, homemade pasta and locally produced cheese and bread, along with lots of fresh prepared foods.
Shooting for a fall opening, developer Steve Bajus is planning an indoor farmers’ market at the site of the old Borders in Rosemont.
Strength in Numbers
Red Mango is the latest self-serve frozen yogurt shop to appear in the area, making its Wayne debut this summer. Critical fro-yo mass can’t be far behind.
Up in Smoke
Rubb, Philly’s mobile wood-burning barbecue pit, will now remain stationary in Manayunk, taking over the former Bucks County Coffee location. The restaurant is BYO.
Coming Soon
Beloved breakfast-and-lunch spot Nudy’s is now adding a Paoli location to its expanding eatery empire. The eighth Nudy’s will occupy the former Jake’s Frozen Custard space on Lancaster Avenue.
