» East meets west … via the rumor mill: The owners of 333 Belrose are said to be working on a second restaurant. No name yet, but the concept is gourmet backyard cuisine/steakhouse, with a wood-fired grill and an open kitchen. The tentative location is the old Paper Mill in Downingtown, with a projected opening date of late spring or early summer.

» Starving artist? Local songstress Sharon Little—profiled in Main Line Today’s September 2007 feature on local music and recently signed to CBS Records—has been spotted serving up Asian fusion fare at Ardmore’s Auspicious. Although I’ve yet to visit, the buzz is positive, particularly in regard to affordability, family-friendliness and the “create your own stir-fry” option.

» New in Manayunk: Culture (4225 Main St., 215-609-5619) features healthy cuisine from around the world, including Polynesian grilled chicken and African sweet potato salad. Manayunk Tavern (4247 Main St., 267-335-2121) specializes in local microbrews and such tasty American fare as burgers, steaks, pulled pork and pasta dishes.
