» So much press, so little time: Seems like Episcopal Academy can’t stay out of the limelight. In November, the private school’s sprawling new campus in Newtown Square got some serious props from New York Times columnist Sam Lubell, who spotlighted its “slick new chapel” designed by alum Robert Venturi and his wife/partner, Denise Scott Brown. Barely a week later, the 100-year rivalry between EA and the Haverford School got primetime billing on Comcast SportsNet, which broadcast the fall football matchup between the two schools. And if that’s not enough, 10-year-old EA student Gregory Smith landed the starring role in the Walnut Street Theatre’s production of Oliver!, which runs through Jan. 10.

» The Main Line’s newest rising star is … a dog? Two of the area’s top PR firms unexpectedly converged after Zakian Carpets put out a casting call for “cute cats and dogs” for their new advertising campaign. One of the pups chosen for the print ads turned out to be marketing maven Nina Zucker’s 3-year-old toy poodle, Lola. Though Zakian’s publicist, Peter Breslow, has known Zucker for years, he initially had no idea Lola belonged to the competition.
