Several new restaurants are in the works along the Main Line, with many scheduled to open this spring.
Liberty Union Bar & Grill will expand its popular Exton concept by opening a second location in Kimberton. The Americana menu and décor will persist, with the restaurant featuring food specials from a different state every week. The bar serves an extensive menu of craft beer, many of them local, as well as wine and cocktails. Liberty Union will take the place of Joe’s All American Pub in the original Sly Fox Brewing Company location at 519 Kimberton Road in Phoenixville. Expected opening is mid-to-late March.
Yia: It’s All Greek to Me! will be hitting State Street in Media in late March or early April. The new restaurant will take over the location that was formerly home to Berry Fresh Café at 300 West State Street.
Over at the ever-expanding dining destination of King of Prussia Town Center yet another new restaurant has been announced—Choolaah Indian BBQ. The restaurant has two locations in Fairfax, Virginia, and one in Ohio. Choolah will bring in a custom-built tandoor clay oven to cook meats and cheeses. The menu uses only hormone-, antibiotic- and GMO-free ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and egg-free dishes will be available. Look for Choolaah this spring.
Jad’s Pizza has already opened in the former Foster Boys location at 226 E. Lancaster Avenue in Downingtown. It’s owned by cousins Chris and Fadi Madanat. The menu features pizza, cheesesteaks, stromboli, hoagies, gyros and more. Jad’s is a BYOB and offers delivery.
