Tacos, Anyone? Hot on the heels of a refresh at Verdad Restaurant & Tequila Bar, two new spots join Bryn Mawr’s Mexican surge. No-frills chain El Limon has opened its fifth location, in the former Tres Guppy’s (845 Lancaster Ave.). Meanwhile, Xolo Tacos has moved into the former Fuji Mountain (14 N. Merion Ave.).
Chef Alfredo Aguilar is at the helm at Xolo, prepping guacamole tableside and crafting upscale tacos, fajitas, tortas and more. There’s also a full-service bar.
Beyond Bryn Mawr, get your “island-inspired” taco fix at Wayne’s new Pipeline Taco (165 E. Lancaster Ave.).
>> NEW ON MAIN: Anastasi Seafood’s Mia Anastasi has partnered with her brother, Tommy (Bala Cynwyd’s Pescatore), for a new raw-bar concept in Manayunk in the former home of Beast & Ale (4161 Main St.). Anastasi Raw Bar is a sharp fresh-seafood concept with a classic Italian air and a full bar. Look for it this month.
