Recommended By Melissa Jacobs

Curtis Institute of Music students make a rare trip to the Main Line as part of Bryn Mawr College’s free “Learning to Listen” series, created by a pair of Bryn Mawr grads who wanted to share their love of opera and classical music. This post-Valentine’s Day performance features Sextet in C Major, Op. 37, by Hungarian pianist/conductor Ernst von Dohnányi.

Little Yogis class at Prana House Yoga

385 W. Lancaster Ave., Suite 201, Haverford, (610) 896-YOGA

Recommended by Melissa Jacobs

Downward dog, triangle, tree. I didn’t truly appreciate the kid-friendliness of yoga until my niece started saying—and doing—those poses. Does she get a mind-body benefit? Probably not. But I can see her muscles working in ways they normally wouldn’t. Balance, coordination and following directions are all key elements of the Little Yogis class at Prana House, the new studio above Merritt Gallery in Haverford Square.
