Michael leads a 24-hour service initiative in which all Brandywine Hospital patients see a pharmacist during their stay. “I truly feel that we practice the most efficient and compassionate model of pharmacy in the region,” he says.
One day, Michael saw two distraught patients in a hallway. They explained that they could no longer afford their medications because of new coverage plans, so he enrolled them in manufacturer discounts and spoke with their primary-care physician about switching some agents to their generic forms. It ultimately helped save their lives.
