Bryn Mawr’s Restaurant Cerise is offering two special menus to celebrate the holidays. Cerise, frequently a Main Line Today Readers’ and Critics’ Choice for best chef and BYOB, features contemporary European-style cuisine.
The four-course Christmas dinner, to be held Dec. 25, based on interest, is $59 per person. Here’s a glimpse at the menu:
Hors d’Oeuvres for the Table
Green oak leaf salad, buttermilk dressing, spiced pecan, roasted cipollini
Course Two
House-made campanelle, brussels sprouts, guanciale, cherries, truffle
or
Herbed risotto, pan-seared sweetbreads, gremolata, pomegranate
Course Three
Roasted goose, apple and fennel stuffing, red cabbage, crispy potatoes
or
Beef tenderloin, Yorkshire pudding, creamed Swiss chard, merlot demi-glace
Course Four
Chestnut cake, butterscotch, graham cracker, toasted marshmallow ice cream

The restaurant’s New Year’s Eve menu features a six-course meal by Chef Ben Thomas, sure to wow diners with his impressive take on classic celebratory dishes:

$85 per person
Frisée salad, red beets, crispy potato, citrus vinaigrette
Poached lobster, buttermilk crepe, leeks, tarragon, celery root
House-made campanelle, grano arso, maitake, chanterelles, porcini
Magret duck breast, baby spinach, garlic confit, cognac, pink peppercorn
Cheese plate, Delice de Bourgogne, bleu d’Auvergne, aged manchego
White chocolate mousse, lemon curd, raspberries, local honey
