John Mims has returned to his former Narberth location to debut Carmine’sCreole Cafe. Meanwhile, back inPhoenixville, he and partner Dominic Tammaro have transformed his former Bridge Street eatery, Daddy Mims’, into Dominic’s Ristorante Italiano, a pasta house with thelook of an ancient church.

Brand New Brews

In summer 2013, fresh life will come to the former General Lafayette Inn of Lafayette Hill. Backed by the crew behind South Philadelphia’s Devil’s Den and Manayunk’s Old Eagle Tavern, Barren Hill will offer 30 beer varieties on tap—six brewed in-house. Devil’s Den’s chef Paul Trowbridge will head up the kitchen.
