Main Line Wine Gala
Oct. 18, 6-9:30 p.m., Gladwyne

Raise a glass for our area’s most innovative winemakers at the Main Line Wine Gala. Presented by Resources for Human Development, the event benefits four RHD programs, including Healing Ajax, La Casa, the Coordinated Homeless Outreach Center and the Center for Creative Works.

Shipley Shops
Oct. 19-21, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Bryn Mawr

Raise money and get some holiday shopping done early. Now in its 57th year, Shipley Shops brings together more than 40 premier retailers from around the country in benefit of the Shipley School.

The Great Pumpkin Carve
Oct. 19-21, Chadds Ford

This open-air festival held at the Chadds Ford Historical Society features intricate jack-o-lanterns carved by more than 60 talented local artists. Food vendors, scarecrow displays and pumpkin painting will also be offered.

Harry Potter Festival
Oct. 20-21, Chestnut Hill

Wizards, witches and muggles abound at Chestnut Hill’s beloved Harry Potter Festival, which includes a Quidditch tournament, Potter Quizzo, movie screenings and plenty of Harry Potter-themed food.

Dracula Presented by Brandywine Ballet
Oct. 20-22, West Chester

Brandywine Ballet continues its residency at West Chester University’s Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall with performances of Nancy Page’s Dracula.  

Phoenixville Pumpkinfest
Oct. 21, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Phoenixville

In celebration of the season’s favorite gourd, businesses throughout Phoenixville will show off their pumpkin-flavored treats and drinks at this fall extravaganza. A pumpkin derby, carnival and live music round out the day.

Paranormal Tour of the Paoli Battlefield

Tri-County Paranormal will lead a tour of the Paoli Battlefield, which was home to the ninth deadliest battle of the Revolutionary War. Tickets are limited.

Swarthmore CO-OP Oktoberfest
Oct. 21, 7-9 p.m., Swarthmore

The Swarthmore CO-OP hosts its second annual Oktoberfest, featuring samples from Wrong Crowd Brewery, a beer swap, authentic German fare and live music.

The Kolbe Fund’s Rhythm & Brews
Oct. 21, 6:30-10 p.m., Malvern

Head to the High Point in Malvern to enjoy craft beers, food and live music in support of the Kolbe Fund, which helps families that have to travel for their children’s medical care.

Delaware County Studio Tour
Oct. 21-22, various locations

Fifty-nine artists in a variety of mediums will showcase their work in 19 studios throughout Delaware County. Art enthusiasts and first-time buyers are encouraged to design their own self-guided tour in this two-day celebration of local artists.

Funky Brunch & Market at the Ardmore Music Hall
