Growing up in Brooklyn, Lori Landew had a passion for singing and dancing that led her to stints with the Metropolitan and New York City operas. “Those experiences created the interest and the bug to be around that world,” says Landew, who now lives in Bryn Mawr.
As a student at the University of Pennsylvania, Landew continued her involvement in the performing arts. But she soon came to the realization that her on-stage talents were limited. “[But] I was really good at production and organization,” she says.
In the end, entertainment law was a natural fit for Landew, who graduated from Columbia Law School and worked a variety of jobs in the field before landing at Fox Rothschild six years ago. She’s now part of a team of 24 entertainment attorneys in Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia. Her expertise covers music, television, film, book publishing, sports and fashion. “I spend a lot of time in New York and Los Angeles,” she says. “There’s always something new and interesting [in this job].”
