Lindsay Blank and Ryan Jacobs first met on a job interview in 2013, when Lindsay was applying for a position. Ryan hired her, and the two developed a friendship. “We realized we had a lot in common, and months later, we started dating,” says Lindsay.
At a family outing in Center City on Jan. 19, 2017, Ryan asked Lindsay to marry him. They were staying at a hotel and headed to the roof to watch the sunset—or so Lindsay thought. When the elevator doors opened, her friends and family were gathered holding a banner with the big question. Ryan had also created a candlelit aisle with photos from their relationship. On the rooftop, he got down on one knee.
The following year, the two exchanged vows at Talamore Country Club, where the rabbi who married Lindsay’s parents officiated. “We just fell in love with it,” says Lindsay of Talamore. “The outdoor area was beautiful, we loved the grand staircase on the inside.”
Now living in Collegeville, the couple relied on lilac and charcoal gray—and plenty of greenery—to lend a soft spring vibe to their nuptials.
