Life Time Fitness to Open Studios on the Main Line

The Minnesota-based concept is coming to King of Prussia and Ardmore.

Life Time Fitness is expanding with two Main Line locations slated for 2017. The Minnesota-based fitness franchise is expected to add boutique studios in Ardmore and King of Prussia this year. The Ardmore location will take over the Macy’s building in Suburban Square, sharing part of the space with a new West Elm.

The King of Prussia location will boast an impressive 190,000 square foot facility, featuring four indoor squash courts, an aquatic fitness center with pools and hot tubs, a luxury outdoor pool deck, basketball courts and a full-service spa. In addition to traditional fitness, Life Time offers a large basketball league, complete with player stats and online records.

The new studio will have “an outdoor resort pool feel in the middle of King of Prussia,” says Natalie Bushaw, Director of Public Relations at Life Time Fitness. “King of Prussia has been on our radar for a long time because the Philadelphia market is thriving.”

There will also be an outdoor bistro offering natural foods free of hormones, antibiotics and preservatives. “You won’t find healthier food anywhere,” says Bushaw.

Ardmore membership comes with the added bonus of being able to access Life Time facilities across the country, which currently total 118 in the U.S. and Canada. Varying membership levels will be available and no contracts are required.

The King of Prussia location is expected to open this spring and the Ardmore location is slated for a late 2017 opening.
