Levante Brewing Company, recently honored for best beer releases in our annual Best of the Main Line and Western Suburbs issue, will be celebrating its first anniversary with a party on Saturday, August 13, from 12–7 p.m.

Showcasing several new beer releases, there will also be a truck featuring 12 taps of Levante brews parked in the lot to help alleviate long lines.

Live music is scheduled throughout the day from Kevin Eppler Music and Adam McCue. Food trucks will be on site slinging a wide variety of food, including Abuelita’s Empanadas, The Flying Deutschman, Slappy McGilligan’s, Dos Hermanos Taco Truck, Mompops and Triple Fresh, which will be serving up a pig roast.

Levante is located next to Artisan Exchange, and many of its vendors will be on site, too, including Golden Valley Farms Coffee Roasters, Katja’s Empanadas, Haigis Fine Foods, iSwich Gourmet Ice Cream, MoJo’s Pop Co. and Waffatopia.

“It’s important to us to give back to the community that got us to where we are today,” says company founder and brewer Tim Floros. “We want to have a special celebration in honor of our first anniversary that supports our mission to ‘Help Other People,’ so we will be collecting nonperishable food donations throughout the day in hopes of filling up an entire food truck.”

They are asking all attendees to bring along nonperishable food items to help them reach their goal of collecting 5,000 items for Fiorenza’s Food for Friends and the Chester County Food Bank.

This is not the first time Levante has partnered up with an organization to donate to a cause. During its first year of business, Levante has supported over 20 charities and nonprofit organizations, including the Brandywine SPCA, Soldier Strong, USA Rescue, Chip for a Cure, Bucks Cancer Research and the Chester County Sheriff’s office. What started as a dream for founders Eric Santostefano and Tim Floros has now become a staple in the West Chester community.

General admission pour tickets are $5 each and can be used for the eight varieties of

Levante craft beer selections available on tap, including new beer releases. Each attendee bringing five or more nonperishable food items will get one free pour ticket or an event glass.
