La’lli Hair Lounge Blows Out the Competition with ‘Best of’ Award

MLT’s 2014 “Best Blowout” winner continues to reap the benefits of its title.

Ladies, you don’t have to take a train ride to New York to get that chic runway blowout anymore. Now, all it takes is a quick trip to Ardmore, thanks to the stylists at La’lli Hair Lounge. And for the lucky guests at the 2014 Best of the Main Line & Western Suburbs, it was just a trip to Drexelbrook, where the stylists worked their magic on attendees.

The “Best of” event—the biggest “blowout” of the year—is where guests get to sample some of the finest items from nearly 100 vendors. Last year, La’lli also gave out the salon’s hairspray and loyalty cards to current and future customers.

“I offered complimentary blowout cards for all of the guests to get to experience what a luxury blowout feels like,” says La’lli owner Jennifer Zirilli. “As a vendor, coming up with an idea is so much fun. It gives you a chance to shine for everyone to see.”

Zirilli also enjoyed mingling with other vendors, dancing the night away, and “sampling some of the best foods the Main Line has to offer,” all at a beautiful venue.

Even after the fun of the “Best of” party was over, La’lli Hair Lounge found that it was still benefiting from the event in its everyday business. “We have grown not only in our clientele but also with the relationships with our clients, since we see a lot of them on a weekly basis for blowouts,” Zirilli says. “Winning helped with my idea to create the blowout card—to help make it more affordable for women to come in once a week.”

Although she’s eager to see if the salon will reign supreme this year, Zirilli says the Best of the Main Line & Western Suburbs Party is worth going to even if you don’t have the opportunity to go as a vendor. “I think it is great to come show support for your town,” Zirilli says. “Whether you win or lose, we are all in it to make the Main Line a fun and welcoming area for people to come visit.”
