BEER ME: Berwyn’s much-delayed La Cabra Brewing is now up and running, serving an offbeat Latin menu and the sour ales and experimental beers of co-owner Dan Popernack (pictured), all out of what was once a general store—and just steps away from the R5.
Slated to open this month at King of Prussia Town Center, the Minneapolis-based City Works Eatery and Pour House will offer 90 craft-beer taps and modern American food. The 9,000-square-foot stand-alone structure also has an outdoor patio and cocktail areas.
POKÉ MANIA: The Hawaiian craze has come to Ardmore in the form of PokéOno, the brainchild of New Jersey surfer Andrew Danieli. The menu features traditional poké bowls—marinated cubes of ahi tuna served over rice with toppings like seaweed salad, crispy onions and wasabi peas. Shrimp, salmon and tofu are also available.
HOPS AND APPLES: Head to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks on Dec. 3 for the Valley Forge Beer & Cider Festival, featuring over 150 brews and ciders for sampling. Two sessions will be offered.
