Kristina Erfe Pines kicked off 2016 in a major way, launching Spoonful magazine, a quarterly publication that celebrates home cooking and the art of entertaining, with interviews from U.S.-based, small-batch artisans. “We’re a cookbook created by home cooks for home cooks,” says the Wynnewood resident.
Pines is currently managing an editorial staff that’s spread across the country. And while it’s challenging at times, the response from readers has made it all worth the effort. And she’s hard at work on next year’s issues. Summer 2017 features Carla Hall of the hit TV show The Chew. “If we’re able to encourage just one household to cook more and to include their children in the process, I’d consider this entire enterprise a success,” she says.
