The King of Prussia Mall expansion opening is getting closer and as time passes, exciting restaurant news continues to abound. In addition to a second Shake Shack, Hai Street Kitchen & Co, Nicoletta Pizzeria and Melt Shop will be a few more restaurants joining the array culinary options at the shopping mecca.

Top Chef winner Kevin Sbraga plans to open a second outpost of his Philly restaurant The Fat Ham as part of a 155,000-square-foot expansion project that will connect the Court and the Plaza malls. The 1,400-square-foot restaurant featuring 65-plus seats, a communal table and a bar with 14 to 16 seats will be open during mall hours. The menu focuses on Southern-style comfort foods including his signature hot chicken as well as additional lighter options.

Also joining Sbraga will be Pizzeria Vetri, which chef Marc Vetri sold to Urban Outfitters late last year. The pizza concept will open at the King of Prussia Mall in a new cluster of Urban Outfitters brands. The 40,000-square-foot space in the mall’s Pavilion will house Urban Outfitters, Pizzeria Vetri, Free People and Anthropologie.

Also coming to the mall in the former Sears Auto Center is Yard House, offering 100 craft beer taps and a menu of scratch-made items like duck fat potatoes, street tacos, pizzas, sandwiches, salads and burgers. The redevelopment will also include a 1,600-square-foot deck for outdoor seasonal dining on the west side of the building. The chain is owned by Darden Restaurants (Seasons 52, The Capital Grille).
