In case you haven’t noticed, King of Prussia Town Center is booming. A slew of new restaurants and eateries have opened to the delight of area foodies. And just in time for summer, the new expansion has plenty of green space filled with lounge chairs, bistro tables and fountains. Capitalizing on that setting, the center has put together a stellar lineup of summer activities, including a yoga series, live music and comedy, and outdoor movie screenings.
The family-friendly events kicked off earlier this summer, and all are free. “The space just really lent itself to outdoor programming, both family-friendly and date night activities,” says Jill Asher, an event producer who has helped spearhead the initiative.
The schedule features performances by Doylestown’s Bob Starner Duo (July 19) and the University of Pennsylvania’s Mask and Wig Club—the oldest all-male collegiate musical comedy troupe in the country (Aug. 16). Movie screenings include Back to the Future (July 12), Disney’s Moana (Aug. 9), and E.T. (Sept. 6).
Entertainment starts at 6:30 p.m., and films start at 7:30. “We’re excited to bring people together,” says Asher.
