“An inpatient brain-injury speech therapist, Jessica Petrongolo created two programs for patients and their families. Victorious BIG (Brain Injury Group) is a social group that meets monthly. Young survivors share their experiences and form new friendships. Jessica also implemented Unmasking Brain Injury. To illustrate the magnitude of brain injury, patients created a gallery of more than 30 masks. The show traveled to locations throughout the Main Line. The therapeutic art program is so successful that Jessica was asked to present a workshop on Unmasking Brain Injury at the annual conference of the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania.”
