Fourteen years ago, West Goshen’s Jessica Canto stumbled upon an opening at Pohlig Builders and decided to go for it. She began as an assistant. “I was diving into whatever needed to be done,” she recalls. “I spent a lot of the first few years here working on the systems, processes and the way we do business.”
Things really took off for Canto in 2007, when she got involved in the award-winning Athertyn project, a luxury community in Haverford. Now, she’s project manager. “As much as I work in an office and do mostly computer and paper work, it still really feels like a hands-on business,” she says. “It’s the one industry where each day you can see the progress.”
