Jen Croneberger learned the power of oration from her father, a bishop in the Episcopal Church. A born storyteller, Croneberger also had a knack for writing, which she developed at an early age through her poetry.
She’s since mined both skills into a successful career as a motivational speaker and coach. She’s worked with Nike, Vanguard, Proctor & Gamble, QVC and even the U.S. Department of Defense, sharing her insights on compassionate leadership and cultivating belonging within our common spaces.
“[That includes being] authentically yourself and learning how to really listen and connect with your people, your teams,” says Croneberger.
Earning her master’s degree in sports and human performance psychology, Croneberger got into speaking on the suggestion of friends. Through her TED Talks, she’s developed a niche for positivity and empowerment. “I studied confidence for about a year,” says the Chester Springs resident. “I started to really understand where it comes from, how we get it, how we lose it, why it’s sometimes so fragile. When you’re authentic, real and genuine, and you’re showing up that way, you’re giving others permission to do the same.”
Authenticity is especially important in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. “We’re going through this disconnect with technology, creating a new normal where we aren’t connected and we don’t talk as much about who we are and what we do,” she says. “As we’re starting to emerge from the rubble of all of this, as we come out of this cocoon, we have an opportunity to do it better than we were doing it before.”
