Instacart, a same-day grocery delivery business that launched its to-your-door services in the greater Philadelphia area in February, just got even better.
In addition to door-delivered groceries from Whole Foods, Super Fresh and BJ’s Wholesale Club, you can now order liquid comfort from Fine Wine & Good Spirits. Instacart scored delivery authority from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, which means, the delivery service’s network of personal shoppers will go to the state stores for you, and arrive on your doorstep carting champagne, scotch, wine (and more!), in under an hour’s time.
Instacart provides delivery services to downtown and Northwest Philadelphia, as well as area-wide Main Line neighborhoods. Residents of Bala Cynwyd, Wynnewood, Penn Valley, Manayunk, Roxborough, Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, Germantown, East Falls, Lower Merion, Gladwyne, Ardmore, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Villanova, Havertown and parts of Upper Darby, are all welcome to take advantage of the fresh delivery concept.
Lucky for us, Philadelphia is one of four delivery cities of the San Francisco-based startup. Additional Instacart cities include Chicago, Boston and Washington, D.C.
If you plan on dialing up the at-your-fingertips service, here are the brass tacks: there is a $10 minimum per orders, and you have the choice of a two-hour delivery (for $3.99) or a one-hour delivery (for $14.99). All new customers who open an account will get free delivery on their first order of $35 or more.
