Drew Crockett, the University of Pennsylvania grad who started slinging coffee drinks and pastries from his HubBub Truck just off-campus back in 2009, has recently opened his third brick and mortar store in Radnor. This is Drew’s first foray into the suburbs, just steps from Septa’s Radnor Station.
What sets HubBub Coffee java apart is its loyalty to stocking only Stumptown Coffee Roasters’ responsibly and fairly sourced beans, as shipped from Portland, Oregon. The caffeinated menu features all the necessary gear and styles for true coffee geeks, including drip coffee, Chemex pour overs, espresso shots pulled from the luxe La Marzocco GB5 espresso machine, and hot and iced coffee drinks—which showcase a rotating array of coffee beans from around the globe.
For breakfast and lunch, fresh bagels with a variety of toppings, artisan-made pastries, fresh juice and yogurt parfaits will be available. HubBub will also serve up affogatos—an espresso shot served on top of a scoop of Philly-made Little Baby’s Ice Cream.
The 1500-square foot space features modern rustic design elements and will have goods built by local salvagers and craftsmen, Provenance Architecturals, on display for purchase.
The store hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Find HubBub Coffee at 232 N. Radnor Chester Road. Additional locations include a shop in Center City on 1717 Arch Street, and in University City at 3736 Spruce Street. Learn more at www.hubbubcoffee.com.
