Clover Market Makes Its Design Debut in Ardmore for Shopping Galore

News & Events

» Market value: This month, we’ll see the much-anticipated Ardmore debut of the Clover Market. Two Sundays a month, starting April 11 and continuing through June, this upscale, open-air design market will set up shop in the Schauffele Plaza parking lot on Lancaster Avenue. Ardmore-based interior designer Janet Long is the driving force behind the innovative idea, which she modeled after the popular Brooklyn Flea market and London’s famous Portobello Road antiques market. “Why shouldn’t the Main Line have something as fabulous as these two famed institutions do?” poses Long, who’s assembled an eclectic mix of vendors, from furniture designers and antique collectors to original artists and architectural salvage dealers. “Everything is home-related,” she says. “I’m very excited about the quality of the merchandise that will be featured.”

Local vendors include Narberth’s Nannygoat Antiques, Havertown’s The Bee’s Nest and Haverford’s Chairloom. The market is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 11 and 25, May 9 and 23, and June 6 and 20. After a summer hiatus, it will resume in September.
