» Domestic inspiration: If you’re looking revamp your home décor this holiday season, you won’t want to miss Design for a Cause Nov. 13-14. Formerly known as Evening of Elegance, the event affords the general public the unique opportunity to experience the renowned Marketplace Design Center in Philadelphia, the region’s premier resource for home furnishings. Leading interior and floral designers will transform the main-floor showrooms to showcase extraordinary holiday-themed vignettes. Some of the area’s best caterers, chefs and pastry chefs will prepare delicious food and drink to go with each. The Marketplace features 50 showrooms from the likes of Baker, Knapp & Tubbs, Vanguard Furniture, Century Design, Grange, Noble Décor and Clive Christian. The main event will be held 7-10 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $75 and include admission to the following day’s public tours of the showroom, held 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-only tickets are $20. Proceeds from Design for a Cause will benefit the Prostate Health International and Breast Health International divisions of the Foundation for Breast & Prostate Health.
