As you tour the custom designed rooms of the East Coast’s first Williams-Sonoma Home store in King of Prussia Mall, you’ll see the sophisticated Chelsea Wing chair in bold orange leather in one room and deep brown velvet in another. And that’s only two options; the chair is available in more than 100 fabrics. “The biggest trend in home design retail is personalization,” says Dave DeMattei, group president of Williams-Sonoma, Williams-Sonoma Home and West Elm. “We’re about your home, your way.”

Customers shopping for upholstered furniture can customize with more than 45 frames. Williams-Sonoma Home’s selection of fabrics represents some of the best options available.

Menswear-inspired fabric is gaining a lot of attention this fall. Houndstooth, wool, herringbone, pinstripe and glen plaid look as smart on a club chair and ottoman as they do on a fine suit. Lush fabrics like velvet never go out of style. For accent pieces, leathers in embossed ostrich and crocodile, as well as zebra and leopard prints, make a strong statement in any room. Today’s options for leather go beyond the standard colors of black and brown, with shades of red, light blue, orange and ivory.

The wide variety of choices can be daunting to some customers. So Williams-Sonoma Home simplifies the process by having a team of designers in-store. They offer complimentary design advice to help you coordinate anything from a single room to your entire home. A virtual showroom on the company’s website enables shoppers to see what the furniture will look like in any of the different fabrics.
