Brandon’s Candles

Back in 2014, at the age of 13, Brandon Bechtel started this candle company. Located in Telford, the shop—both online and in-person—offers a selection of pillars, jar, and wax tarts in a range of scents. Get cozy with a hot chocolate candle or transport yourself to a tropical destination when you light the mango papaya scented one. There are also odor-eliminating candles for freshening up.

720 Morwood Road, Telford.

Rosen & Co.

Paying homage to the City of Brotherly Love, Rosen & Co.’s signature glass candles are made with soy wax and essential oils. Choose from over a dozen scents like coconut water and pineapple, black amber and lavender, or rosemary mint. The larger jars make great gifts and display pieces thanks to the skyline on the glass, while the Mini Mes are great for sampling different scents. The Philadelphia-based company also makes body balm. Shop online or order from Trace in Ardmore.

Trace, 80 Rittenhouse Place, Ardmore.

Old City Canning Co.

Find soy and coconut candles from this Philadelphia artisan company. The shop offers six original scents and a variety of classic scents in 12-ounce candles. A new artist series features works by Philadelphia artists on the jars.

The Tin Goat

Known for its soaps, the Tin Goat also has a great selection of soy wax candles in unique scents with equally unique names. Dragon Blood is a blend of cedarwood, patchouli, clove and orange.  Or for a caffeine infusion, grab an espresso latte candle.

Zoet Bathlatier

Zoet Bathlatier—named in part for the Dutch word for soft, gentle and sweet—hand pours soy and vegetable wax candles in Malvern. Available in minimalist containers that compliment any home décor, the boutique also produces some other personal care products. Shop from the Malvern store or worKS in Kennett Square.

Zoet Bathlatier, 346 E. King St., Malvern; worKS 432 S. Walnut St., Kennett Square.
