Homes for the Holidays

On Dec. 8, West Chester Public Library hosts its annual Holiday Home Tour. The self-guided tour covers 10 festively decked-out residences in and around the borough. Design enthusiasts should appreciate the breadth of offerings, which span 130 years, from 1870 to 2000. Tickets are $25 and available at the library (415 N. Church St.) or online at wcpubliclibrary.org. Snow date is Dec. 9. Once properly inspired, be sure to hit one of downtown West Chester’s several home-décor shops after the tour. The growing list includes Bella & Betty, The 5 Senses, Acorn Cottage Style and Timeless Dwelling.

Crafty Embellishments

Though it may be better known for its extensive selection of handmade jewelry, the Main Line Art Center’s annual Holiday Fine Craft Sale also offers a notable assortment of glass art, ceramics and other handcrafted items for the home. The sale runs through Dec. 9. For more information, visit mainlineart.org.
