All for Show
Whether you plan to build your own custom home or simply have an appreciation for beautiful custom design, you won’t want to miss touring the NBC-10 and TL Concept Show House. Open to the public Oct. 11-28, it showcases the latest, most innovative products and services available across the country.
Bob Birney and Alan Greaves of West Chester’s Welcome Home Builders built the multimillion-dollar, traditional-style house in Berwyn, outfitting it with all the must-haves in luxury living. Berwyn’s Allison Forbes, the project’s sole interior designer, envisioned a home that would appeal to a Main Line family looking for a fresh twist on tried-and-true themes. “My clients want an interior with a simple elegance,” says Forbes. “I wanted to create an environment with contemporary and classic/traditional elements.”
Many area home stores contributed to the décor, including Bloomingdale’s in King of Prussia, Ashton White and Kids ’N Kribs in Wayne, and Dane Décor in West Chester. The home’s antiques were supplied by Stevens Antiques in Frazer and Wilson’s Antiques in Wayne. You’ll also find the work of many local artists on display. Other contributors include Floors USA, Sterling Kitchens, and Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery.
Everything in the home is available for sale after the showing ends.
House tours run 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $20 at the door and $15 in advance. A shuttle bus will run from Jimmy Duffy & Sons Caterers, 1456 Lancaster Ave., Berwyn. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.
