It’s going to be hot and smoky at the World Café Live (upstairs) July 15 at 7 p.m., when executive chef Matthew Babbage works a little global flair into locally grown ingredients. You’ll be licking your lips and your fingers as you feast on American barbecued ribs, hand-carved Brazilian churrasco-style barbequed beef, Valencian seafood paella, grilled vegetables and salad, including locally grown sweet corn and a grand finale of homemade berry pie (served with Belgian Lambic fruit-infused beers). The room will be dressed for the occasion with family-style picnic tables. Cheese, tapas and an Australian wine tasting will start the evening. Then as you jump into dinner, you’ll take a bit of an international tour with these following wines selected by Joe Brandolo, your wine host for the evening:
Whites
Schumann Nagler (Germany) Christopher Philipp Riesling
Chateau Foloi (Greece) White
Rose
Librandi (Italy) Ciro Rosato
Reds
Clos La Coutale (France) Cahors Malbec
Tribal Wines (Spain) Auroch Tinto del Toro Tempranillo
