The hottest ticket in town is currently the 12th annual Girls’ Night Out Beauty and Fashion Extravaganza, happening Oct. 11 at the Springfield Country Club. Hosted by Mena Dabbundo, owner of Media’s Contemporary Styles by Mena, this extraordinary breast cancer fundraiser has gained an enormous following over the years, with more than 600 tickets already sold for this year’s event.
Admission entitles attendees to dinner, two drinks, a gift bag, a fashion show, plus live and silent auctions. The auction prizes are fabulous—we’re talking Eagles tickets, Lady Gaga tickets, a Botox party for you and four of your closest friends, round-trip tickets for two with AirTran Airways, a limo ride to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in NYC, a pair of tickets to the Media Theatre’s production of Annie, starring Wanda Sykes as Miss Hannigan, and much more.
Bedazzled Boutique in Newtown Square will feature its best looks during the runway show—and rumor has it that the fabulous Debbi Calton of WMGK and Cecily Tynan of 6ABC will be two of the stunning models.
Last year’s event raised just short of $50,000. All proceeds benefit the Fox Chase Crozer-Keystone Cancer Partnership.
